Startup Mahakumbh 2025, a significant global startup event, has kicked off in India. This three-day gathering, starting on April 3, features over 3,000 startups. As India aims to become a developed nation by 2047, many innovative startups are participating. Among them is Airth, which purifies air from ACs. The product is in high demand across the country. GoodReturns spoke exclusively with Ravi Kaushik, CEO and founder of Airth.

Ravi Kaushik shared his journey into entrepreneurship during his time at IIT Bombay. While studying aerosol science, he realised the potential for innovation in air pollution solutions. In 2018-19, as a final-year student, he decided to venture into this field. He noticed existing market solutions were underutilised and saw an opportunity for improvement.
Airth initially launched an advanced air purifier but soon realised that affordability and value for money were crucial for success. This led to the creation of an AC purifier that cleans polluted air while cooling it. The product has gained traction not just in metro cities but also in smaller towns and regions like South India and Coastal India.
Ravi Kaushik is the sole founder of Airth. Despite sharing his idea with friends, they found it too demanding to join as partners. The company has seen unexpected demand from smaller cities, with orders coming from places like Gujarat and West Bengal, contrary to their initial expectations of demand being limited to Delhi-NCR.
Airth's participation in Shark Tank India brought funding from Aman Gupta of Boat and Vineeta Singh of Sugar Cosmetics. The company initially started with family support, receiving INR 30 lakh from Ravi's parents. In the recent financial year, Airth achieved sales of around INR 3 crore.
The demand for Airth's product is highest in Chennai, followed by Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram. Noida also sees significant orders. The company's focus remains pan-India due to its exposure on Shark Tank India. However, rural areas show less demand due to the prevalence of coolers.
Customer Solutions and Availability
Airth prioritises customer service by replacing products when issues arise. Their products are available on their website Airt.in and e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. Ravi Kaushik emphasised their commitment to enhancing customer service continuously.
Reflecting on customer feedback, Ravi noted that affordability and effectiveness are key factors driving sales. Their innovative AC purifier addresses these needs by offering a unique solution at a competitive price point.
Airth's journey highlights the importance of innovation tailored to market demands. By focusing on affordability and effectiveness, they have carved a niche in the competitive air purification market in India.
