In a rare show of unity, the Centre and state governments have set aside their political differences to collaborate at a skiing resort town. Their respective pavilions are located just a few blocks apart on the renowned Promenade street. These two India pavilions accommodate lounges and meeting spaces for union ministers, central government departments, and state representatives.

Among the states represented, Kerala is governed by the Left Front, Telangana by Congress, and Uttar Pradesh by BJP. Andhra Pradesh is led by NDA with TDP's N Chandrababu Naidu as chief minister. Maharashtra is governed by BJP-led Mahayuti, while Tamil Nadu is under the DMK-led UPA alliance. Union ministers attending the WEF Annual Meeting also hail from various parties.
Indian Delegation and Industry Presence
The first pavilion features Kerala, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. The second pavilion includes Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Both pavilions will host five union ministers at different times. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Invest India are also present, managing much of India's presence here. The industry body CII has brought a large delegation of CEOs and business leaders.
Union ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and CR Patil represent BJP, Chirag Paswan comes from LJP Ram Vilas, Jayant Chaudhary from RLD, and K Ram Mohan Naidu from TDP. Upon arriving in Switzerland, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu engaged in meetings with investors in Zurich and Davos to highlight Andhra Pradesh's investment potential.
Engagements at the World Economic Forum
Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary expressed his enthusiasm for representing India at the World Economic Forum 2025. "As technological advancements reshape our world, global cooperation is essential to develop the standards and best practices. We have an opportunity to reimagine growth and social equity to invest in people and build sustainable industries. Looking forward to engaging with global leaders on these critical issues," he stated.
