The Indian stock market concluded the trading session on a decline, with the Nifty finishing below the 23,700 mark on February 5. This day saw the Sensex drop by 312.53 points, a 0.40 percent decrease, closing at 78,271.28. Concurrently, the Nifty fell by 42.95 points, marking a 0.18 percent decline, to end at 23,696.30.

The day's trading highlighted notable movements among specific stocks and sectors. Among the top performers were Hindalco Industries, ONGC, Apollo Hospitals, BPCL, and Adani Ports, which showed resilience amidst the market's overall slump. On the flip side, Asian Paints, Titan Company, Nestle India, HUL, and Britannia Industries faced setbacks, ranking as the day's biggest losers.
