Both the stock exchanges will carry out regular trading session today , it being the budget day. Pre-opening session will commence from 9:00 until 9:15 while the trading shall be as usual from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm. Commodities market will also remain open.

Nonetheless, for mutual fund houses it shall be a non-business day i.e. no NAVs will be declared today for equity mutual funds. Also, no redemption in fund units will be possible as with other share trades entered into on January 31, 2020 or February 1, 2020 as it is a settlement holiday on Saturday.
So, processing of orders will take place on Monday and other orders which have been placed either yesterday or today will be settled on February 4, 2020.
Stock exchange BSE in a circular said: "Mutual Funds are observing Non-business day/non-transaction day on the Union Budget Day on Saturday, February 01, 2020 for all schemes. Therefore exchange shall also observe non-business day for mutual fund schemes on BSE StAR MF platform on the day of presentation of the Union Budget on Saturday, February 01, 2020."
