Swiggy, a food tech platform preparing for its IPO, has introduced a new service called Bolt. This service promises to deliver meals and drinks within 10 minutes. Currently, it operates in six major cities: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, and Bangalore. Swiggy plans to extend this service to more locations soon.

Bolt ensures rapid delivery from selected eateries within a 2 km radius of customers. The service features popular items such as burgers, hot and cold drinks, breakfast foods, and biryani. Additionally, it includes ready-to-pack options like ice cream, sweets, and snacks. Swiggy highlighted that delivery partners are not informed about the difference between Bolt and regular orders. This means they face no penalties or rewards based on delivery times.
Swiggy's Strategic Expansion
Swiggy aims to expand Bolt's reach in the coming weeks. The company is committed to enhancing customer convenience by offering quick access to frequently ordered items. Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy's Food Marketplace, stated: "Bolt is the next evolution in our mission to provide unmatched convenience."
Kapoor further explained that Swiggy transformed food delivery a decade ago by reducing average wait times to 30 minutes. With Bolt, they aim to cut this time even further for popular items like coffee and ice cream. The company collaborates with trusted restaurants to ensure quality food is delivered swiftly.
Swiggy's innovative approach reflects its dedication to improving customer experience through faster service. By focusing on efficiency and collaboration with reliable partners, Swiggy continues to set new standards in the food delivery industry.
The introduction of Bolt marks a significant step in Swiggy's growth strategy. As the company prepares for its IPO, it remains focused on expanding its services while maintaining high standards of quality and speed.
Swiggy's efforts to enhance its offerings demonstrate its commitment to meeting evolving consumer demands. By prioritising speed and convenience, the company aims to strengthen its position in the competitive food delivery market.
