Swiggy, one of India's leading online food delivery platforms, has introduced an innovative new feature called the '99 Store' on its app, designed to provide single meals priced at just Rs 99. With this initiative, Swiggy is particularly targeting Gen Z consumers and other budget-conscious customers who seek convenient, everyday meal options without stretching their wallets.
Swiggy's 99 Store: Meal at 99 Rupees At Swiggy in These Cities
The 99 Store is already operational in over 175 cities across India, including major metropolitan hubs such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad. By offering a wide range of meal choices at an unbeatable price point, Swiggy aims to cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of its vast user base.

99 Store Menu: Wide Variety of Affordable Meal Options
The 99 Store menu features an extensive selection of dishes carefully curated to appeal to the daily food needs of consumers. From popular Indian staples like rolls, biryani, dosa, and idli, to continental delights including pasta, pizzas, burgers, and salads, the store offers something for every palate. Sweet lovers can also enjoy options such as cakes, pastries, shakes, and other desserts.
These meals are designed to be quickly prepared, ensuring timely delivery and freshness while maintaining affordability. Swiggy's collaboration with local restaurants enables this wide assortment of dishes to be available under a single roof, making it easier for users to find budget-friendly options without compromising on quality.
In addition to the attractive pricing, Swiggy has introduced the Eco Saver delivery mode alongside the 99 Store. This feature offers free delivery on orders worth Rs 99 or more, enhancing cost efficiency for users who want to enjoy affordable meals without worrying about additional delivery fees. The Eco Saver option also reflects Swiggy's effort to promote sustainable delivery practices.
Swiggy's CEO of Food Marketplace, Rohit Kapoor, emphasized the company's vision behind this pricing strategy, saying, "At Rs 99, this isn't just a price point, it is a promise. A promise that good food can be both affordable and accessible, especially for our younger customers."
Swiggy's 99 Store Vs Zepto Cafe
While Swiggy's 99 Store has generated a lot of interest, it's not the only player offering affordable food options. Zepto Cafe, a growing quick-commerce platform, also offers ready-to-eat items priced under Rs 99, including snacks like instant noodles and vegetable puffs.
However, there are some key differences between the two services. Zepto Cafe's delivery times are impressively fast, often under 10 minutes but they do not offer free delivery at the Rs 99 price point. This means that while the item prices may be low, additional charges such as delivery fees may apply.
On both platforms, it is important to note that the Rs 99 price tag applies to the item cost only. Users should be mindful of additional expenses such as delivery fees, taxes, and GST, which can significantly increase the total bill.
