India's ride-hailing and bike-taxi sector has embraced the government's new Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines (MVAG) 2025. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways released these guidelines, allowing states to officially permit non-transport private motorcycles for passenger rides through aggregator platforms.

Rapido specifically highlighted the operationalisation of Clause 23 of the MVAG 2025. This clause allows the aggregation of non-transport motorcycles for passenger journeys. Rapido described this as a milestone in India's journey towards a Viksit Bharat.
