The Uttar Pradesh government has officially announced the dates for the upcoming International Trade Show UP ITS 2024, setting the stage for a significant five-day event in Greater Noida from September 25. This announcement underscores the state's ambitious goal to position itself as a USD 1 trillion economy within the next five years. The trade show is designed to serve as a comprehensive platform, facilitating interactions between industry leaders, businesses, and professionals from a multitude of sectors on a global scale.

UP ITS 2024 is poised to cover a wide array of industries such as manufacturing, technology, agriculture, textiles, healthcare, and tourism. It aims to provide both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) opportunities for companies to display their products and services. This initiative not only allows for networking with potential partners but also opens up avenues for exploring business prospects within the region.
The inaugural edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) was a collaborative effort between the UP government and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), Greater Noida. Following its success, the second edition is eagerly awaited and is scheduled to take place at the India Expo Centre and Mart.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of various departments including Sports, Youth Affairs, MSME, Khadi & Village Industries, Handloom & Textile in the UP government, recently visited the Expo Mart to assess the preparations and strategize for the upcoming event. Kumar emphasized the importance of showcasing Uttar Pradesh's economic potential on an international stage through UP ITS. He highlighted it as an invaluable opportunity for participants to present Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub.
In his discussions, Kumar proposed several innovative ideas to enhance the show's appeal, such as inviting partner states and promoting unique initiatives like 'one district one product' (ODOP), GI tag, among others. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Centre & Mart, echoed these sentiments, committing to implement these suggestions to ensure UP ITS achieves unparalleled success and recognition as a premier international sourcing fair.
The trade show will feature an extensive range of business sectors including MSMEs, Tourism and Hospitality, Health, Textiles, Agro and Food Processing, Start-Ups, GI tags from Uttar Pradesh, Toy Associations, Craft Clusters of Uttar Pradesh, Handloom and Textiles, Micro and Small Enterprise Cluster Development, ODOP, and many more.
Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has proposed an ambitious promotional campaign aimed at exceeding the success and attendance of its predecessor. Plans are also underway to extend promotional activities to the Delhi region in an effort to attract a wider audience. This strategic move underscores the commitment of the Uttar Pradesh government to not only bolster its economy but also establish itself as a key player on the international stage through UP ITS 2024.
