Two small-cap firms that recently declared dividends in the range of Rs 7 to Rs 8 per share are Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Limited and West Coast Paper Mills Ltd. With over 25 years of expertise, Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Limited was established in 1978 and is a reputable manufacturer of insoluble sulphur, part of the JP Goenka Group of Companies. On the other hand, West Coast Paper Mills Limited (WCPM), which was founded in 1955, is among India's oldest and largest manufacturers of writing, printing, and packaging paper.
Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Dividend
"Further, Pursuant to Section 91 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Regulation 42 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from July 24, 2024 to July 30, 2024 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of ascertaining the eligibility of the shareholders for the Final Dividend for the year ended March 31, 2024 @ Rs.7/- (Rupees Seven only) per Equity Share, to be declared at the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Company. The Cut-Off date for the purpose of E-Voting is fixed on July 23, 2024.Those shareholders holding shares either in dematerialized form or in physical form, as on the close of business hours on July 23, 2024 will be entitled to avail the facility of remote e-voting as well as voting at the AGM," said Oriental Carbon & Chemicals in a regulatory filing.

On Friday, the shares of Oriental Carbon & Chemicals ended on the BSE 4.01% higher at Rs 767.50 apiece well. The 52 Wk High level of the stock is 936.85 (12/01/2024) and 52 Week Low level is 590.45 (04/06/2024). The company has a market cap of Rs 767 Cr.
West Coast Paper Mills Ltd Dividend
The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of Rs.8/- (400%) per equity share on 6,60,48,908 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each for the financial year ended on 31st March, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company, will be credited/dispatched within the stipulated period, according to West Coast Paper Mills Ltd.
"We would like to inform you that 69th Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held on 14th August, 2024, through Video Conference. The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books will remain closed from 7th August, 2024 to 14th August 2024(both the days inclusive), for the purpose of AGM & Dividend. Dividend if approved at the 69th Annual General Meeting of the Company will be paid on or after 19th August, 2024," said the company in a stock exchange filing.
West Coast Paper Mills' stock closed on the BSE on Friday at Rs 678.30, up 6.11% from its previous closing price. As of July 27, 2023, the stock's 52-week low reached 465.30, and its 52-week high stands at 815.00 (30/01/2024). In its last trading session, it registered a market capitalization of Rs 4,480.10 Cr.
