Gandhinagar is implementing comprehensive security measures for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, including 3D venue mapping, decentralized command centers, and strategic CCTV installations, to ensure the safety of attendees, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and international dignitaries.
Gandhinagar, January 6: In preparation for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2024, scheduled to take place from January 10-12, the Gandhinagar police have implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety of attendees, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries from India and abroad.

3D Mapping and CCTV Surveillance
To enhance security, the police have conducted 3D mapping of the venues using drones, allowing for a detailed understanding of the event locations. Additionally, essential CCTV cameras, PTZ cameras, and parking zone cameras have been strategically installed at key spots to provide real-time monitoring and surveillance.
RFID-Based System and Dedicated Communication Channels
An RFID-based system has been planned for the entry points of dignitaries and parking areas for visitors' vehicles. This system will facilitate smooth access and management. Furthermore, a dedicated frequency channel has been created to ensure effective communication among security personnel. Separate control rooms equipped with CCTV for security monitoring have been set up, with a centralized command and control room established at each location.
Deployment of Security Personnel and Traffic Regulation
To maintain law and order, the area has been divided into six zones, and a substantial number of security personnel will be deployed, including one ADGP, six IGPs/DIGPs, 21 SPs, 69 DySPs, 233 police inspectors, 391 police sub-inspectors, 5,520 police personnel, 100 commandos, 21 Morcha Squad members, eight QRT (Quick Response Teams), and 15 BDDS personnel. Additionally, 34 traffic cranes will patrol the city roads to prevent haphazard parking. Traffic regulation plans have been devised, restricting the movement of heavy vehicles on certain roads and designating alternative routes.
With these extensive security arrangements in place, the Gandhinagar police aim to provide a safe and secure environment for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, ensuring a successful and productive event for all participants.
