Vidya Wires, a manufacturer of winding and conductivity products, saw its shares debut on the stock exchanges with slight gains over the issue price of Rs 52. On the BSE, the stock opened at Rs 52.13, a 0.25% increase from its issue price. Throughout the day, it rose by 12.46% to reach a peak of Rs 58.48 before closing at Rs 53.14, up by 2.19%.

On the NSE, Vidya Wires' shares started trading at the same price as their issue price of Rs 52. During intraday trading, they surged by 12.40% to Rs 58.45 each and eventually closed at Rs 52.80, marking a gain of 1.54%. By the end of the trading session, the company's market valuation on the BSE was Rs 1,130.25 crore.
Vidya Wires IPO and Market Performance
The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Vidya Wires Ltd was valued at Rs 300 crore and received an overwhelming response with a subscription rate of 26.59 times on its final day. The IPO had a price band set between Rs 48 and Rs 52 per share. The public offering included a fresh issue worth Rs 274 crore and an Offer For Sale (OFS) comprising 50.01 lakh shares valued at Rs 26 crore.
The funds raised from the fresh issue are intended for various purposes including capital expenditure for new projects in its subsidiary ALCU, debt repayment, and general corporate needs. Vidya Wires is recognised as one of the leading manufacturers in its field, producing winding and conductivity products for numerous critical industries.
