Vivo is poised to make a significant impact in the premium smartphone segment in India with the launch of its foldable phone, the X Fold3 Pro. This device, which represents Vivo's ambitious move to capture a larger share of the high-end market, is being manufactured at the company's facility in Greater Noida. The Chinese smartphone giant is capitalizing on the growing trend towards premium smartphones in India, a market that continues to expand and evolve.

Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy at Vivo India, highlighted the company's readiness to introduce such an innovative product. "We are at a stage where customers trust our brand and are ready to give us the opportunity to launch a device like the fold. We are also at a stage where we are able to solve some of the existing issues in the fold segment," Channana stated. Despite the anticipation surrounding the X Fold3 Pro, Vivo has yet to release specific sales targets or pricing details for the device.
The X Fold3 Pro is not only a testament to Vivo's manufacturing capabilities but also its strategy to target a diverse range of consumers, including current foldable phone users, premium urban customers, and those using high-end traditional smartphones. Manufactured in Vivo's Greater Noida factory, this device is set to be the brand's most expensive offering in the Indian market.
With its launch scheduled for June 6, Vivo aims to challenge competitors like Samsung by offering distinctive features that cater to the preferences of premium smartphone users. "So far as competition is concerned, we have charted our own path... All our premium devices... the X series devices... have stood out on their own. We always over-index on design and camera...that will continue to be our core strength and we are going to move forward in that," Channana emphasized.
The X Fold3 Pro boasts an ultra-slim design with a folded thickness of 11.2mm and an unfolded thickness of 5.2mm. It features a robust 5700mAh battery and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, promising exceptional performance and efficiency.
Vivo's strategic focus on design and camera quality has set its premium devices apart in a competitive market. As the company prepares for the X Fold3 Pro launch, it remains committed to leveraging these strengths to offer consumers innovative and high-quality smartphones that meet their evolving needs and preferences.
