Vodafone Idea will increase mobile tariffs by 11-24% from July 4, as per a company statement. This move follows Reliance Jio's tariff hike announced on Thursday. Both Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel will implement higher mobile service rates starting July 3.

Tariff Hike Details
The company has raised the entry-level plan, which offers 28 days of mobile service, by about 11% to Rs 199 from Rs 179. Additionally, the price of a popular 84-day validity plan with 1.5 GB data per day has been increased to Rs 859 from Rs 719.
Vodafone Idea stated that it remains committed to providing simple and comprehensive plans for its consumers. The company aims to support entry-level users while linking higher prices to increased usage. Changes in entry-level plans are nominal, according to the statement.
Annual Plan Adjustments
The price of Vodafone Idea's annual unlimited plan has been raised by about 21% to Rs 3,499 from Rs 2,899. However, there is no change in the cost of its 365-day validity plan with a 24 GB data limit, which remains at Rs 1,799.
Vodafone Idea is planning significant investments over the next few quarters. These investments aim to enhance the 4G experience and launch 5G services, according to the company's statement.
"In line with its commitment to provide its consumers with simple and comprehensive plans, Vi has curated an optimum range of feature-rich plans to meet the diverse needs of its consumers," said Vodafone Idea in their statement.
The company’s strategy involves progressively linking higher prices to increased usage while keeping changes in entry-level plans minimal. This approach is designed to support entry-level users effectively.
As Vodafone Idea prepares for these changes, it continues to focus on improving its services and expanding its offerings. The upcoming investments are expected to play a crucial role in this development.
With these tariff hikes, Vodafone Idea joins other major telecom operators in adjusting their pricing structures. This trend reflects the broader industry movement towards higher service rates.
The new pricing structure will come into effect from July 4, impacting all Vodafone Idea customers across various plans. The adjustments are part of the company's ongoing efforts to balance affordability with enhanced service quality.
Overall, Vodafone Idea's tariff hike aligns with similar moves by other telecom operators. The company aims to maintain competitive pricing while investing in future technologies and network improvements.
