The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the deadline for citizens to complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration process from December 4 to December 11, offering additional time for voters to verify and update their details on the electoral roll. The extension is expected to ease congestion and reduce the last-minute rush usually faced by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the annual revision period.
Voter List 2025 SIR Form Submission Deadline Extended: Check Last Date To Submit To BLO or Apply Online
Under the revised system, voters now have two methods to complete the process-either by physically submitting the form to their BLO or by opting for the SIR form online facility. The digital submission process is available through the ECI and State Chief Electoral Officer websites, along with the ECINET mobile application, where users can fill in their details directly instead of downloading a separate form.

How to Submit SIR Form Online; Step-by-step To Follow Here
- Go to voters.eci.gov.in.
- Click on "Fill Enumeration Form" on the homepage.
- Sign up using your mobile number, optional email and CAPTCHA.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile and log in.
- After login, click "Fill Enumeration Form" again.
- Fill in your details and submit the form online.
The Election Commission has made it mandatory for anyone using the online method to link their Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) with a valid mobile number before submitting the enumeration form. The EPIC, a unique 10-digit alphanumeric number issued to every registered voter, helps ensure accurate identification, verification, and seamless access to various electoral services.
How to Check SIR Form Submission Status Online
- Visit voters.eci.gov.in again.
- Click "Fill Enumeration Form".
- Enter your EPIC number in the search box.
- Click Search.
- If already submitted, the message will appear:
- "Your form has already been submitted with mobile number XXXXX..."
- If a fresh form opens instead, it means your SIR form is not yet submitted or not linked correctly.
- If the shown mobile number is incorrect or shows a wrong submission, contact your Booth Level Officer (BLO) immediately.
