24K Gold Prices Hovering Above 66,000: Check Latest Yellow Metal Prices In Your City

Gold prices witnessed marginal decline on Saturday in India. Current market price of 22K gold in India is Rs 60,590/10 grams after the fall of Rs 10 and cost of 24K yellow metal in the country on Saturday is Rs 66,100/10 grams after the fall of Rs 10. Gold prices surged by Rs 250 for 22K on March 14 and rallied by Rs 270 for 24K. Yellow metal prices fell on March 13 and March 14 too by Rs 400 for 22 carat and by Rs 430 for 24 carat.

Earlier, gold prices remained steady on Friday as they appeared set to log their first weekly decline in four as investors lowered expectations of a U.S. interest rate cut after data over the week showed bubbling price pressures, according to Reuters report.

Spot gold was little changed at $2,159.99 per ounce, as of 2:42 p.m. EDT (1842 GMT). Bullion lost 0.8% for the week, in its first weekly decline since mid-February after hitting a record high of $2,194.99 last week. U.S. gold futures settled 0.3% lower at $2,161.5. Data this week showed U.S. consumer prices increased above expectations in February and producer prices also showed some stickiness in inflation, added Reuters report.

"Gold has already priced in whatever positive boost it would get from expectations that interest rates are going down... if inflation starts to kick higher again, it means that policymakers are going to have to keep monetary policy more restrictive for longer," said Everett Millman, chief market analyst at Gainesville Coins, stated Reuters report.
