Kolkata-headquartered Banhdan Bank has revised its bulk fixed deposit rates across tenures with effect from September 18. The bulk deposits range from Rs 2 crore to Rs 50 crore and above. Depositors can earn as high as 8% with a premature withdrawal facility, however, the rate of returns is significantly higher to 8.50% on FDs opted without a premature withdrawal facility.

FD rates with premature withdrawal facility:
On FDs from Rs 2 crore to Rs 50 crore and above, Bandhan Bank is offering an 8% rate each on 365 days and 366 days tenure. The bank is also offering a 7.40% rate on 181 days to 364 days, and 7.30% on 367 days to less than 15 months tenure. Above the 7% mark, the bank is offering a 7.10% rate on 91 days to 180 days tenure.

The interest rate is 6.75% on tenures from 15 months to less than 3 years, while 6.15% is offered on 3 years to less than 5 years tenure, and 5% on 5 years to 10 years maturities.
On tenures from 7 days to 90 days, the interest rates range from 4.50% to 6.70%.
FD rates without premature withdrawal facility:
Bandhan Bank is offering a whopping 8.50% rate each on 365-day and 366-day tenures. While the interest rate was at 7.60% on 181 days to 364 days maturities, 7.55% on 367 days to less than 15 months tenure, and 7.30% on 91 days to 180 days tenure.
The bank is also offering 7.30% on 15 months to less than 3 years tenure. While the rates are 6.75% on 3 years to less than 5 years tenures, and 5.50% on 5 years to 10 years tenures.
From 7 days to 90 days tenure, here, the interest rates range from 4.50% to 6.90%.
In case of premature withdrawal of deposit 1% penalty will be levied on the corresponding ROI for which the deposit is kept with the bank. Also, any deposit of Rs 10 crore and above can be contracted only with the prior approval of the Treasury, as per the terms and conditions.
Earlier this month, the bank had revised its savings account interest rates in the range of 3% to 7% with effect from September 5, 2023.
In the case of the savings account, Bandhan Bank is offering an interest rate of 3.00% on amounts up to Rs 1 lakh; 6% on the incremental balance over and above Rs 1 lakh up to Rs 10 lakh; 7% on the incremental balance over and above Rs 10 lakh up to Rs 2 crore; 6.25% on the balance over and above Rs 2 crore up to Rs 10 crore; and lastly 6.50% is applied on the incremental balance over and above Rs 10 crore up to Rs 50 crore.
