The Conversion Procedure: NBFC to CIC
Converting an NBFC to a CIC involves a multifaceted procedure. First and foremost, the company must ensure that it fulfills the criteria set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to be classified as a CIC. The primary criteria are that the financial assets of the company must be more than 50% of its total assets and the income from financial assets must be more than 50% of the gross income.
