Special dividend is a one-time dividend payment that is considered by companies in order to commemorate some event or the like. Usually it is higher than the interim or final dividend. Interim dividend is given during the year and is approved by the company's board. Also, company's give out final dividend i.e. recommended by board of the company but is approved by its shareholders in the Annual General Meeting. CRISIL
The mid-cap rating agency firm in February announced payment of dividend to the company's shareholders who hold the scrip as on record date i.e. April 1, 2022.
The company announced special dividend of 700% at the rate of Rs. 7 per share. Alongside the company also announced final dividend of 1500% @Rs. 15 per share for the year ended December 31, 2021.
Crisil or Credit Rating Information Services of India is an S&P Global company providing research, rating, risk and policy advisory services. The company is into rating of different organisations including industrial companies, SMEs, banks, NBFC, insurers, mutual funds, state governments etc. Furthermore as far as its research services are concerned it provides holistic research services per se economy, company or industry. The company has promoter holding of over 66% and FIIs as well as Mfs increased their stake in the firm.
Sanofi India
The MNC pharma company with Soframycin as its most famous pharma product in India in late February announced a huge dividend pay out. The company for the year ended December 31, 2021 announced final dividend of Rs. 181 per share of Rs. 10 each and a special dividend of Rs. 309 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the year ended 31st December 2021. This was after considering the slump sale and transfer of Company's nutraceuticals business during the year and reviewing the cash requirements for the Company's operations.
For the said dividend amount, the ex-date is April 12, 2022 while the record date is April 16, 2022.
Sanofi India is a mid cap pharma MNC with Somframycin as one of its famous pharma product in the country. The company develops medicines in therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular disease, thrombotic diseases, metabolic disorders, oncology, disorders of the central nervous system, internal medicine and vaccines.
