Investment prospects available in Platinum
With the increasing demand and bright prospects of platinum as an investment tool in the near future, an e- platinum series was launched by the National Spot Exchange (NSEL) last year in April 2012, under its e-series products. Here are different sort of investment options available in Platinum:
· E- Platinum:
This type of platform for platinum is acquiring popularity among the investors as in this form, an investor has several options available. One can easily buy units of platinum in multiples of 1 gram electronically with an option to sell, retain it or simply take physical delivery from the same platform. An investor can easily avail physical delivery of Platinum from e- platinum just like e- gold or e- silver. He can get physical platinum in various denominations in the form of granules from London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM) approved supplier. National Spot Exchange (NSEL) has started the physical delivery of platinum in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Jaipur. NSEL will soon join more cities periodically for physical delivery.
· Collectible form:
For investors who wish to collect the platinum in its physical form as coin, bars as well as bullions, they can get it easily from various centers like Nationalized & Private Banks. They can also get it from authorized dealers. One can get platinum from 1 gram to 100 grams in physical form with 99.95 percent of purity. One should always check the authenticity of the metal as the physical purchase of this metal is still in its emerging stage.
· Platinum Futures Contract:
One can also invest in Platinum in the futures market as well. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has also given its consent to buy Platinum Future Contracts (1 gram). The future market also has an inherent risk attached with it. It is highly volatile and investment in Future Market requires large funds. So, these types of investments are only suggested for advanced investors and smart traders.
Future Stance for Platinum
The current position of Platinum is under the reach of small investors as well but in the near future the price of platinum is about to rise as the Jewellery market in platinum is evolving day by day. According to the Mineral Exploration And Development Report, the demand of Platinum is about to rise up to 80 tons in 2017. Along with the global increasing strength of Automobile Industry, the platinum will maintain its high financial power and also appear as an ideal investment option for significant investors.
As per the current rates of Platinum in the market, it appears to be a perfect time to invest in Platinum electronically in Demat form which gives an equal price of platinum and also safe enough to keep.
