Large & Midcap Funds
Large & Midcap Funds are equity mutual funds and invest primarily in a mix of large and mid-sized companies. These funds invest in India's top 200 companies, which sums up both Large and midcap stocks. These funds bring together the largest businesses in India as well as smaller businesses that are competing with the big businesses for the top spot. It helps in fulfilling long-term financial goals. However, these are equity funds, which makes them risky for investments. These funds are not immune to stock market volatility and fluctuations.
These funds are perfect for investors with investment horizons longer than five years. Large and mid cap schemes are required to invest at least 35% of their assets in large and mid cap stocks, respectively. It provides the ideal balance of the aggressiveness of mid-sized companies with the stability of large caps.
