Goa Carbon is a small company that deals in the metal sector. The company generally supplies titanium dioxide and graphite electrode manufacturers, aluminium smelters, and other consumers in the chemical and metallurgical sectors. Calcined petroleum coke is manufactured and marketed by Goa Carbon Limited, a public limited corporation.
The company has declared a final dividend of Rs. 17.50 per equity share of Rs. 10/- each for the year ended 31st March 2023 and in order to determine the eligibility of the shareholders for the purpose of same Thursday, 10th August 2023 has been fixed as the record date.

"The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from Friday, 11th August 2023 to Thursday, 17th August 2023 (Both days inclusive) for the purpose of 55th AGM of the Company and in order to determine the Members entitled to receive the Final Dividend of Rs. 17.50 per equity share of Rs. 10/- each for the year ended 31st March 2023. The final dividend, if approved by the shareholders at the 55th AGM to be held on 17th August 2023, will be paid on or after 7th September 2023," said Goa Carbon in a stock exchange filing on 5th July 2023.
Goa Carbon has announced an equity dividend of 175.00% at a face value of Rs 10 or Rs 17.5 per share for the financial year ended March 2023. This generates a dividend yield of 3.31% at the stock's current price of Rs. 530.05. The company has a solid track record of dividend declarations during the past five years. According to Trendlyne's statistics, Goa Carbons Ltd. has issued 21 dividends since August 27, 2001.
The company reported a net income of Rs 322.14 Cr during Q4FY23 up by 16.84% YoY from Rs 275.70 Cr reported during Q4FY22. Its net profit in March 2023 quarter was Rs 5.28 Cr down by 65.21% YoY from Rs 15.19 Cr recorded during March 2022 quarter. During the year ended FY2023 its net income was Rs 1376.95 Cr up by 79.13% YoY from Rs 768.66 Cr in the year ended FY22. Its net profit was Rs 80.75 Cr in 12MFY23 up by 113.75% YoY from Rs 37.77 Cr in 12MFY22.
On Thursday, the shares of Goa Carbon opened on the BSE at Rs 532.30 apiece. The stock made a 52-week-high of Rs 683.45 on (18/11/2022) and a 52-week-low of Rs 372.05 on (07/07/2022). During Q4FY23, the company recorded promoter shareholding of 59.72%, FIIs stake of 0.21%, DIIs stake of 0.01% and public stake of 40.06%.
