The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee has chosen to maintain the repo and reverse repo rates steady, causing alarm among fixed depositors concerning low-interest rates. In the current low-interest-rate environment, it is difficult to generate real returns from fixed deposits as long as mounting inflation is a concern. To prevent interest rate issues, investors should invest in fixed deposits, but only for a short period of time, because whenever banks raise interest rates, they do so first in the short term, causing investors to be concerned about long-term deposits. As it is commonly known that banks' interest rates fluctuate in response to changes in the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) repo rate and base rate, it is essential to compare and monitor the interest rates of the top leading banks if looking to open a fixed deposit account. And, in terms of interest rates, here are the banks that have recently changed their fixed deposit interest rates, and by comparing them to SBI, here we go to discover where they rank.
