The Board of Directors of the multinational Indian mining corporation Vedanta will convene soon to announce the fourth interim dividend for FY25.
"Pursuant to Regulation 29 of Listing Regulations, Notice is hereby given that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") is proposed to be scheduled on Tuesday, October 08, 2024, to consider and approve the Fourth Interim Dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2024-25," said Vedanta in a stock exchange filing.

Discussing the record date, the Board of Directors Vedanta informed stock exchanges that "Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, October 16, 2024."
"Further, pursuant to the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 and Insider Trading Prohibition Code of the Company, the Trading Window shall remain closed for dealing in securities of the Company for all Designated Persons from Thursday, September 26, 2024 till the expiry of 48 hours after declaration of Unaudited Financial Results of the Company for the Second Quarter and half year ending September 30, 2024," Vedanta said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.
Recently, on September 14 the company informed stock exchanges that Mr. John Slaven, CEO - Aluminium Business designated as a senior management personnel of Vedanta, has tendered his resignation from the said position effective from close of business hours on September 30, 2024. On September 10, CRISIL Ratings removed the short-term ratings from Watch developing and reaffirmed the ratings at CRISIL A1+. The long-term ratings outlook was changed from "Watch with Developing Implications" to "Watch with Positive Implications."
Vedanta declared a third interim dividend of Rs 20 per share earlier in September, with a record date of September 10, 2024. Two further interim dividends of Rs. 11 and Rs. 4 per share, respectively, have been announced by the corporation in FY25; the record dates for each were 25/05/2024 and 03/08/2024.
An equity dividend of 2950.00%, or Rs 29.5 per share at a face value of Rs 1, has been issued by Vedanta for the financial year ending March 2024. A dividend yield of 6.15% is reached at the current share price of Rs 479.60. With five years of consecutive dividend declarations under its belt, the firm has a solid dividend track record. Since July 23, 2001, Vedanta Ltd. has issued 44 dividends, according to statistics from Trendlyne. Given that Vedanta Ltd.'s shares are currently trading at RS 479.60, its dividend yield is 9.59% since in the last 12 months the company has issued an equity dividend totalling Rs 46.00 per share.
On Wednesday, the shares of Vedanta ended 1.99% higher at Rs 479.60 apiece with a market cap of Rs 1,87,542.21 Cr. The stock marked a 52-week-high of Rs 506.85 on (22/05/2024) and a 52-week-low of Rs 207.85 on (28/09/2023).
