In response to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) three consecutive increases in the repo rate, various banks have increased the interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs). The RBI raised repo rates in August by 50 basis points to 5.4 per cent.
Post the repro rate hike, various banks increased the interest rates on term deposits for both the general public and senior citizens. Public as well as private sector banks including the NBFC (Non-Banking Finance Company) have increased the FD rates on various tenures. Among various big and small lenders, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is one Small Finance Bank that also hiked the interest rates on Fixed Deposits on 9 August.
Interest Rates For Platina Fixed Deposit - Domestic, NRE And NRO
The bank offers 7.70% highest interest rate for a maturity period of 75 weeks (525 Days) and the lowest under the Platina Fixed Deposit-Domestic, NRE and NRO. Under the Platina FD, the interest rates are applicable for deposits above Rs.15 lakhs and below Rs.2 crores only.

Interest Rates For Domestic & NRO Fixed Deposits And Sampoorna Nidhi
The FD interest rates for Domestic & NRO & Sampoorns Nidhi ranged from 3.75% to 7.59%. The bank offers the highest 7.50% interest rates on FD tenures 75 Weeks (525 days), 990 Days, & 75 months for domestic & NRO Fixed Deposits & Sampoorna Nidhi. The bank offers a 0.75% additional interest rate for resident senior citizens. The new rate is effective from 9 August 2022.

Interest Rates For NRE - Fixed Deposits
Following the revision, the bank is now offering an interest rate on fixed deposits maturing in 12 Months to 120 Months of 6% to 7.50% for the NRE. The minimum tenure for NRE deposits is 1 year. The does not offer an additional interest rate for senior citizens on NRE Deposits. The new rates are effective from 9 August 2022.
