The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has introduced a new online feature for premium payments via WhatsApp Bot, effective from 9th May. This initiative provides an additional method for LIC customers to pay their premiums online. Registered users can utilise the WhatsApp number to check policies due for payment and complete transactions using UPI, net banking, or cards directly within the WhatsApp bot. This initiative is part of LIC's ongoing digital transformation efforts to enhance customer convenience.

The registration process involves creating a user ID and password. Once logged in, users can add their policies under 'Basic Services'. For more advanced features, they must complete a three-step process involving form submission and document uploads.
