Addressing the concern around daily expenses arising from hospitalisation, SBI General Insurance has partnered with Starfin to launch its 'Hospital Cash Benefit Daily Plan'. The health insurance plan will cover all kinds of hospitalisation and will provide fixed daily cash benefit to the policy holders in case of admission.
THe daily cash benefit plan would help in minimising the financial burden of hospitalisatiion and let them focus on the treatment during their most vulnerable times. "This collaboration with our subsidiary Starfin India and SBI General Insurance represents a significant step in our commitment to provide accessible and affordable financial security to underserved communities," said Shikhar Aggarwal, Chairman, BLS E-Services Ltd (Parent company of Starfin India).

SBI General-Starfin Hospital Cash Benefit Daily Plan: Premium Cost, Coverage, Other Details
The health insurance plan comes under different categories based on the premium cost, amount of daily cash benefit plan and the people it has covered. The premium for the cash benefit policy starts at Rs 259 per year (including GST). Its daily cash benefit limit is higher when the patient is admitted at ICU.
With an annual premium amount of Rs 399 per person (Rs 259 for kids), the plan offers a daily cash benefit of Rs 1,000 on hospitalisation. THe limoit is higher at Rs 2,000 per person for ICU.
With an annual premium of Rs 799 per person (Rs 659 for kids), the daily cash limit per day is Rs 2,000 for OPD and Rs 4,000 per day for ICU admission.
Policy Tenure And Coverage
The hospital cash insurance cover accidental and illness hospital cash benefit and also offers easy claims process, accordiong to the company press release. The policy provides a coverage of up to Rs 1 lakh for accidental death and total permanent disability. In addition to these coverages, the policy provides teleconsultation benefit where each beneficiary under the policy can consult to health expert on call.

The hospitalisation costs can significantly impact savings due to the potentially high expenses associated with treatment, medication, and recovery. This financial stress is often compounded by income loss and out-of-pocket expenses such as travel, medication, and attendant care.
The SBI general insurance offers fixed daily cash benefit to policyholders during their hospital styas due to illness or accidents. It will also include coverage for accidental death and partial disability, offering added protection and peace of mind to insured individuals.
