Wing Zone India Expansion Begins with Spice Lounge Food Works Master Franchise

Spice Lounge Food Works Limited has secured exclusive Master Franchise rights for Wing Zone in India, marking a key expansion step for the Indian quick service restaurant space. The agreement gives the company responsibility for developing, operating, and scaling the globally recognised chicken-focused QSR brand across the country.

The first Wing Zone outlet under this deal is scheduled to open in January 2026 in Koramangala, Bangalore. The locality is seen as a strong launchpad, with dense student and young professional populations, established QSR formats, and steady walk-in demand that supports frequent dining occasions.

Wing Zone is known worldwide for its chicken-based menu, signature sauces, and focus on bold flavours. The brand operates in several international markets and offers a range of high-end chicken products. Under the exclusive India master franchise, Spice Lounge Food Works Ltd. will drive brand localisation and nationwide network growth.

Koramangala has been chosen for the debut Wing Zone India outlet as part of the brand’s first phase in the country. The launch is planned through a store that targets both dine-in and delivery demand. It will plug into an existing dense ecosystem of cafes, QSR brands, and delivery platforms.

Wing Zone India Launch

After the Koramangala opening, Spice Lounge Food Works Ltd. plans a multi-stage roll-out of Wing Zone India. The next wave of outlets is expected in other parts of Bangalore, followed by expansion into Hyderabad and Chennai. Further entries into additional major Indian cities are also planned.

The expansion strategy for Wing Zone India combines high-street stores with cloud-kitchen units. High-street outlets are expected to build visibility and brand recall, while cloud kitchens are expected to support delivery-led growth and lower set-up costs. This mix is aimed at balancing accessibility, reach, and operating efficiency.

Wing Zone India strategy within the Indian QSR market

The company describes this acquisition as central to its broader push in the Indian QSR market. Management expects Wing Zone India to strengthen a diversified, multi-brand portfolio that can serve different customer segments and price points, while building scale in the organised food services industry over the long term.

Mr. Mohan Babu Karjela, Chairperson and Director of Spice Lounge Food Works Ltd, said: "We are delighted to bring Wing Zone to India and believe this partnership marks an important milestone in our long-term growth strategy. The Indian QSR market is experiencing strong momentum, driven by evolving consumer preferences, rising urbanisation and increasing adoption of global food formats. Wing Zone's internationally acclaimed flavours, paired with our operational expertise, position us well to capture this opportunity."

Mr. Mohan Babu Karjela further added: "Our launch in Koramangala, Bangalore, is only the beginning. We have a clear roadmap for expansion across key metros through a combination of high-street stores and cloud kitchens, ensuring both accessibility and scalability. This acquisition further strengthens our vision of building a diversified multi-brand portfolio and reinforces our commitment to becoming a leading player in India's fastgrowing food services sector," he further added.
